im going fishing at 5 am at lake skinner what is biteing there right now what bait should i take

I was there today 7/24 and it was pretty slow for LMB. Pretty much everyone I talked to had a slow day. Striper and cats are eating the usual chicken liver and anchovie/sardine. Fish the points from shore.

So, is it tougher to find the stripers from boat? Would I be better off just from shore then? Thanks for the info.

picked up one 6lb cat on anchovy and my buddy got one 2lb striper at the buoy line. tough bite for us, one dude next to us using same bait/technique was killin em. also 2 guys at the cleaning table had limits of bigger ones. guess I gotta try drifting next time...
