Took a few to fish. The wind was blowing hard. Tried to fish into the wind no luck. Changed spots wind at my back. Tried the deeper spots first. Throwing a gulp minnow and again on 2 lb test. Few hits and a lost bass. Then worked weed beds tried left and right of them nothing. Then a 1lb plus bluegill so i was on the board. Next cast another big gill. Started walking the minnow over top of beds and a boil. I was on trying to not snap line in the weeds. Finally pulled the bass out 2 lb fish. Walked the whole pond scratching a fish here and there. Same pattern. Caught 5 bass total and lost about 5 inc a nice 5 lb bass. No break offs just automatic fish hook removers.
