Spent the morning trying to surf-fish, low tide, but few fish willing to commit. No fish.
After no love poked around in the harbor.. started at the rail, and nothing.
Went by the electric boat rentals, and something BIG hit my sandcrabs, but I missed it. thinking a big bass maybe.
after that, I decided to hit the same surf spots, now it was approaching high-tide.
First cast resulted in a pup (yes, I really look like that)

Second couple of casts resulted in a perch

a few casts later, and I catch a baby yellowfin croaker.. no pic. (tiny anyway)
After that, i needed refuge from the sun's rays. I was cooking like a lobster out there.
So I headed back to the rail, and cast out towards the bridge, resulting in a spottie.

Saw a few anglers from SCSF across in the Hospice side, so decided to roll by and converse.
Great people, all were true anglers, and loved to talk fishing.
Dude casts a whole sardine out, and a nice bass attacks it. he ran off to take a piss, and I caught the rod and set it for him. He thought we were messing with him

he then jigged up a little smelt, and flylined it out. Caught another nice bass. no pic.
After that, Something HUGE took my bait. Wasnt a batray, must have been a bruiser leopard/smoothhound.
Wrapped me around something, ARRRGH.
it was a good day, everyone was crowding around me at the surf when I caught the leopard.
Lots of kids came around and were excited to see fish. Future anglers.
'Til next time... All fish released.
