is there a store where i can buy live bait in the oc area preferably in the oc area. irvine or newport. newport would be better. if there is such a place other than in the harbor (literally)

Nope, closest place selling live bait (lugworms, ghost shrimp, etc.) is in Seal Beach. Sorry bud.
