This report is a little late, but better late than never. My wife Aleta & I both went on a fishing adventure over the 4th of July week. Our plans were to stay at Parchers Resort at South Lake & also to renew our wedding vows at Lake George in Mammoth Lakes for our anniversary. We had an awesome time staying with Smitty at Parchers and I recommend to anyone who has not stayed there to book a cabin & enjoy luxury camping at its finest! We stayed in the Cowboys Cabin #6, very clean with a great bed & bathroom with an endless supply of hot water for those refreshing showers at the end of the day. Each morning we gorged ourselves with a great spread of food at Parchers Café & let me tell you it was all Good Eats! The staff was top notch, very friendy & always there to help. If you happen to be there on a Saturday, make sure to make plans to join Smitty & staff for an awesome Tri-Tip & BBQ Chicken dinner. That was a meal that I won’t forget, yum yum! Anyways, on to the fishing ……it was great. We fished South Lake for limits, Lake George for limits & some big Alpers to boot, Lake Sabrina & of course South Creek. Make sure to bring the Salmon Peach power bait as that was the hot ticket along with all the other usual lures that produce for you. We did a little hiking & there was still quite a bit of snow around, especially in the Mammoth Lakes Loop area. My biggest Alper was 4 ¼ pounds & my with Aleta got a 3 1/2 , those Alpers can really pull a lot of drag. I would like to thank Smitty & his staff for a great experience & I will be back up there next month to do it again. Enjoy the pic’s.
