So my friend and I wanted to try albacore fishing, and I checked virg's landing who is charging $235 to take us out on an overnight trip. Is this fairly standard price? Also I have heard good and very bad things about virg's, anyone have any thoughts?

Not sure if the albies are up there yet--the most recent counts don't show any.
One thing to keep in mind: the Central CA boats are usually a little rougher than their SoCal brothers---no galleys, no bunks, etc.

Usually the albies show up in Central CA a little bit later in the year. I think it was usually around sept/oct.
