Met up with my Bro. Randy to fish, just so,s I can get more stuff from him !!! http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif Just kidding !!! http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif
Interesting thing is though, is that he happened to give me a Daiwa reel
the last time we were fishing together, and after checking all around
for the price of 190 yards of Berkley Braid, Turners had it for 13,99 for
the 20lb. test, 6lb. Dia. size, but only a 125yrd. spool http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif
Happen to stop at a tackle shop to see, and they spooled the Braid on
for $7.85 http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif So meeting up with Randy in a S.Bay A.O. ,MAN!!!
was it good to nail a keeper on the new reel and Braid http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Randy
caught a good one to, and had a couple of strong, heavy hits also!!!
Water is warming up, hopefully another week of hot weather, things will
open up all around ? Sorry about the dates, I set the wrong date on the
screen and did not correct it yet http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

Awesome job fishep! A very good legal, a short, and some bass too. Gotta love it when you get the bass from the surf, I'm thinking of even targeting them exclusively for a while. Way to slay on the swimbaits. They're not as high confidence for me as a LC or dropshot, but you always seem to do really well on them. I'm liking the swimbait head in your last two pictures and I've never seen one like it. Did you powder coat/paint it yourself? Thanks for the report, and congrats again.

Thats a nice looking Legal butt, grats on a fun day.

The one picture of the sand bass with the top blurred out, if you cropped off the top and bottom it would make a pretty neat looking sig!

I am using the same fishing jig/lure (whatever it's called) and is having no luck in salt water. Got any tips? I usually let them sink to the very bottom and slowly reel it in.

I guess it is just called a 3in Big Hammer Swim Bait.
I do the same thing your doing but I reel it in slow
in what i sense to be about 1ft. from the bottom on
a steady slow retrieve .
