Went fishing off the shore of Fletcher Island. A friend caught a small trout and I caught really small bluegill.

The trout was caught on salmon egg Powerbait and the bluegill was caught with Zeke's Sierra Gold (yellow). Our lines were setup per the lake's website recommendations. We tried nightcrawlers with a marshmallow but got nothing. We got out there way too late at 11am. I guess we should have stopped drinking sooner the night before...

Seems like it was really hit or miss. A few people we talked to caught trout on worms, while others caught trout using powerbait. People we saw only had a couple fish on their stringers. A couple lake regulars said the day was very slow for them as well.

The lake was really crowded, it looked like all the rental boats were on the water with a couple personal boats mixed in. There were people everywhere, on the docks, the fingers, the causeway... everywhere.

A side note: we stayed at the Green Valley Falls campground which was not quiet at all. There were a lot little kids, generally not a bad thing, but they were seemingly everywhere. A campsite a few spots down from us was noisy from dawn to late at night. They were playing music very loud for hours without end. I was actually kind of surprised no one complained. Wouldn't recommend this campground if you want some quiet time

My monster (he's there I swear):
