Catch and release - how about catch and ditch?

Came across a sad scene yesterday while leaving DVL. We were in the parking lot packing up and we noticed a couple LMB ditched underneath the dumpsters. One around 2.5 and another around 5 lbs. They were fresh too, no flies or bloating yet. Such a shame to see this. I don't have any problem with people keeping legal catch to eat, but just to waste - come on!

I can only figure someone caught them and then changed their minds about cleaning and eating them. Or somebody forgot them in their livewell and was too lazy to walk back down to the water and release them. It was odd that they were thrown underneath the dumpster instead of inside the dumpster too.

Anyhow, it was a sad sight to see and put a bit of a downer on our day. :Sad:

That only goes to show that there are some sad and pathetic people in society. It's never going to change. I even gave it a couple minutes thought to give them the benefit of the doubt, but couldn't come up with one reason why someone would do that.
