Anyone one with some personal expierence I'm gonna dish out some cheddar and invest in a couple ? They seem awsome

I almost bought one, but the gear ratios are too close, not much of a difference. So i bought the Daiwa Saltist LD40 2 Speed. 3.1:1 Low, 6.3:1 high. I dig it, cheaper than the Talica too.

The Talica is badas$. all you gotta do is pick up a daiwa then the shimano and you'll make your decision
The 16 is for big feesh tho, not sure what ur going after but it'll work jussst fine.
I'd wait to see what the Saltiga 2 speed is like when it comes out if you don't need it right away.

The Talica's are proven. Smoothness, castability and virtually no bind coming from a 2-speed.

Really? What do you think about the clicker? I thought that it felt not as solid as the Talica. I got that feeling about the reel as a whole. Then again, it was a prototype. At this point, I would recommend Talica>SX Raptor>Saltiga 2. In your opinion, what makes the Saltiga 2 speed "the shizzle"?

Well look at the the old saltiga IMHO i think they are way awsome and have the track record to proove it. Diawa will not skimp out on anything on this reel , unlike the saltist 2 speed ld the new saltiga will fall right next to the talica but u never know..... Untill there tested

Agree with you on the Saltiga stars. Was just wondering why you thought they were of worthy mention, that's all. All I'm saying is that the prototype I tested is not near the Talica in terms of overall performance.
