Nice job again Ron. This issue was action pack. Lots of pictures! Cant believe the Dana Pride made the trip all the way to the shoe.

Good job out there Ron! Looks like most of the bass are just average size...I hope that means the sand bass season will last a while, unlike last year!

In all my years of fishing on the Dana Pride, we never went as far up as the Horseshoe, but if they're biting up there, Tommy will go for it!

Hi Jackpot Jimmy,

Yes, sad to say most fish smallish .... Smallest I caught was 14 inches. Didn't keep a single fish nor give to anyone that had more than they were supposed to have. As usual ... some folks went waaaay over what was reasonable although fish got taken home.

I'm looking for the Sandies to hit SMB before I hit her. I don't want to jump on the Tradition and end up fishing beside the Pursuit, Nautilus, and New Del Mar at the 'Shoe' !! Just kidding ..... sorta

Nice report Ron,
Interesting about the fishings charters in Japan. Why did you leave there? Was it not a lucrative venture at the time?
Thanks for the info regarding the Sandies up in L.A. County.
Take Care,
Robert

Hi murrieta angler,

So Cal fishing is ok but the truth is ..... for those 'in the know' .... saltwater sportfishing in Japan (mainland and islands) is waaaaay better (for both species and abundance) than here on the West Coast ! If dedicated .... business is good in Japan .... if dedicated .... whatever the endevor.

Returned to the West Coast as all I needed to do in Japan was done and time for new adventures elsewhere.

Seems the fishys are moving quickly through the Flats area and up further north !!
