After a long week of work and coming home to log in to see if there were any updates on “F57”, chilling with the family on the 4th, I decided to get in some overdue Harbor time at the 88th hour of the long Holiday weekend. The plan was to head down while every one else was evacuating the area and there for not have to fight traffic and get the advantage of some easy parking at my target spots!

My only question was there any fish left with all the “NPH Hoopla” that has been going on and the lots of pressure that has been in the area of late that I have seen in so many reports.

Arrived at 1600 hrs on Monday 7/5 suited up and hit the water. Biggest tide of the day was incoming and at it’s last hour with some nice current present, but a little windy in the opposite of the current that made things a little tough for working some tight structure!

First cast of the Bait Caster with the swimmy does not go well. The current takes it into a bridge piling and loose a new little spinner bait with BH Spottie Special attached!

Switch rigs to the spinning instead of retying. Two casts later a short flattie comes to the shore to break the Skunk!

Thinking that was too easy i do a quick CPR and the next cast get another species on what was the last of this color BH! He totally destroyed it beyond repair.

I switch to another not so favorite color but it become casting practice! Just when ready to switch colors comes another thumb sucker Spottie!

Satisfied for sure I packed it in and took a short walk back to the truck for a speedy traffic free trip back to the house!

Dana! Thanks for all the inspiration you have given me in the past few years. You have a VIP Reservation on board the my ride the "Spotted Fever" whenever you are up to it "Buddy"
