My dads friend Bay returned from Kansas from his monthly work on some US defense products. Every month he hand delivers us some Grade A, Kobe Filet Mignon loins from the Midwest. This time I got 4 loins vacuumed pack straight from the slaughterhouse. These things taste like butter and no matter how over cook you do these prime piece of meat, it will still be so tender, it will melt in your mouth. I am sure these things would have cost me a couple hundred bucks each loin. I do not know of a better way to repay him than some fishing trips, so I took him on a striped bass adventure. The day started out pretty slow. I had to drive around the whole lake and pick away fish from each spot. At the end of the day we only had a few fish so I made some mad dash to some to some ledges, points, and various places on the bouy line to find a school of willing striped bass. Got a call from Dan (Lowe Boat) of a good bite in another area, but I was determined to find my own fish. Good thing I stuck to my guns and settled in on one mass school that I found mid day for a wide open bite. Chaos ensues for about an hour with fish crossing line and tangles everywhere. We left them biting after a mass tangle up and to make the lake closing time. Bay got his fish and I accomplished my mission. Here are the pictures:

Here is how the day started. Foggy, Cold and Gloomy. This is supposed to be Summer.

Drove around the whole lake hitting spots I know I have fish. I believe this is the fourth spot.

All or nothing. Last stop of the day. Hoping this mass school will go off and it did. Tangled up bendo.

I have been there three times with no luck, any tips? Was wondering what type of bait do you guys use?

Thanks Gary. It is just cream of mushroom sauce. Instead of white mushroom, trumpet mushroom was used. Lite sauce so to compliment the steak, but not to over power the taste of a fine piece of meat.

Sardine is the preffered bait. (Ron) Fishinone killed them with some fresh ones. Check out his report. You have to be near a piece of structure if you want to catch fish. Those are the fish that are feeding. The ones out in the open are mostly the one just swimming around having fun. Hope this helps, good luck out there.
