Took the yak out in malibu on friday. water was flat, slight breeze, solid hangover.
Given the last two conditions, I just decided to anchor up in the kelp and do the bait and wait with some frozen squid I had.

Fished some rocks for a couple of rockfish, a small leo and horn shark, and a small calico.
All caught on the squid (cept for the calico on a swimbait). Nothing super exciting, other than the decent sized rockfish.

Also saw some weird kind of jellyfish in the water.

that jellyfish would be the ever so common usedcondombulus jelly. very common in southern cali waters, larger population in the south la and north oc area.

That rubber is nasty. It used to be in the 80's all kinds of things would pass through the Hyperion (sewage) plant and make it all the way out to the end of the pipe. I can't remember if it was the 5 or 7 mile pipe at El Segundo.

Razor blades, rubbers, female whistles, Q tips and all kids of crap all over the ocean floor at the end of the pipe.

Do not flush this kind of junk.
