I'm not familiar much with what's around independence ... pretty familiar with the Bishop area

I can't speak for everyone....but I can only afford to go fishing about once every 3 or 4 months these days.

Where did you fish near Independence. We used to like to drive up to Onion Valley and hike and fish around there. I've always got to find the high country, cause I can't bear the heat of the valley. Fished Billy's pond once in the valley and then decided I had to go swimming insead. LOL

I think there are fewer visitors to the Eastern Sierra forum since they redesigned the site.

1. it's not obvious to find the Eastern Sierra under NorCal fishing.
2. There are 2 sub forums, one for general and one for reports.
