Had just half a day to spend at Skinner today. Just a week ago the bluegill were in visible swarms and the big bass were up in the tules and easily seen. Not today! Man it was tough out there. I did see some bait schools breaking the surface so the stripers are out chasing, but I got skunked. PU! Tried creature baits, crank bait, and even a buzz bait early. I guess it happens. I heard some guys landing a stripey or two so there is hope.

Alot of times when temperatures drop suddenly, as they have in the last few days, the fish go off their feed for a few days.
Eventually they have to eat so they'll start biting again.
Yes, there is hope
