I am looking to purchase one of the above mentioned reels for local tuna, yellows, bonies and whatever else is around. which would yall reccommend for a live bait set up? plan on putting it on a 8-8.5 cal star jigstick. please any feed back would be great.
thanks

Light bait reel for a jig stick & on a budget????

The Trynos is a lever drag and they dont cast good at all.
Wouldnt recommend that for you...
The 700 may be fine, but also isnt the best option...

Budget bait reel for that with more options for you.
The Daiwa Sealine X series in a 20 or 30 size...
They cast outstanding on light stuff and are a true work horse for 20#+ line.
Easy to work on, excellent drags, true freespool for great distance on light casting.
Also will work excellent with throwing Irons on the Jig Stick with up to 30# line....
More cranking Power and line capacity then the 700...
Versatile as heck and will do a lot of different jobs for you...

I wouldn't recommend the calcutta 700 to anyone. I had one and it didn't have to cranking power and the side plate screws kept getting loose on me while I was fighting a fish. Why dont you look at the saltist that are being closed out?
