[Lateral Vision]

Irvine was the destination we were headed to and what a beautiful morning it was. Cold in the AM, but got a bit warmer towards noon.



First spot nothing, we headed out to the trees and thats when stuff got better. Fish were boiling and looked like cuda on top. Almost tricked my self into grabbing the iron, but we werent on the salty water. Isnt top water action the best? When they just jump on it like a great white on a seal. So we grabbed the sammys and the spooks and started getting some fish. Quantity over quality at this point.



Moved to the trees and Brett nails one out the trees. A better quality fish.

Slowed down after that so made our way over to the cliffs and Derek nails jackpot. Fish were a bit healthy just wish they were a bit fatter.

i understand that irvine is a great bass lake in terms of numbers but with all those trout being stocked half the year why aren't these bass way larger????

Someone checked in a 39lb limit earlier this year. Thats an 8lb average! If you go to the Vines website the newest pic on their main page is of a 10+lb LMB caught last night! You regularly hear of peeps having 25+ fish days at the Vine. Not to mention they have quality wipers also. My Sis caught a 5lb wiper last week.

TaperSteve said it right. There are lots of large lmb in there sorry we didn't catch em for you this time. Tons of small ones on topwater which is just as fun as catching a toad.

yeah I heard Whitney stuck a pig yesterday, gonna have to go check out the pic now.
