I've searched the site, maybe just not looking in the right place, and cant find the answer so I figured I'd ask.

I do know that Team 57 is a group of people that enjoy fishing and helping out the community but what exactly is the origin of the name? Just curious.

Yea know Mike I've wondered the same thing for quite a few years now, just too chicken to ask. Glad you did.

I thought maybe it was a reference to the 57 freeway, that's all I could come up with.....

I thought you had to be 57 years old...there was no way I was going to admit I'm eligible soon.

"Family, Friends, Fun & Fishing". That's what its all about.

To me personally it also means if you see someone wearing a TEAM57 shirt they are more than likely going to help you out if you ask, give you advice, make sure you have the right set up/tackle, hand a bent rod to your kid or help put you on some fish.

See you on the water,

TD

57 is a generic name for a mixed up bunch of whatever ?

Team 57 is a bunch of fishermen made up of all races and sexes.

Kinda like a mixed breed dog you call a Heinz 57.
