I thought that the fishing would be good considering the DFG stock last week. However, I only managed one stocker and one 8 inch wild rainbow (which I recessed) from the South Fork, and one 6 inch wild rainbow just down stream from where the S.F. meets the main stream. I fished the interpretive area off of Seven Oaks Road and just downstream of the resort for zilch. I didn’t bother fishing through the campground at the resort because it was packed with people and the first fisherman that I met there said that fishing was lousy. Well, it least I beat the skunk. Oh, and if you go, bring bug repellant: the black flies are blood thirsty.
