Well I dont think there are words that can explain this trip but Ill give it a try. I have been wanting to go on a trip with the pops and he finally found some time he could spare over the weekend.

It was the last trip the Big Game had scheduled from Long Beach, moon was to its fullest point but reports from the prior 2 day trip were unexciting with a cbass here and there. But, who cares life is good and we were on our way to the emerald isle what more can one ask for.

We got to Catalina loaded on bait and were off to find some willing biters along the bait grounds. The grounds produced one nice fish, and we were off again, nestled in between the Outrider and a small fleet of PB's all hell broke loose, and as long as you had some good line a hook and bait it was an instant hook up. Limit style fishing for those who knew how to cast a bait and wiggle their worms, it took some time for my dad to shake off the rust and get used to his lever drag but he finally got back the groove and was able to land 2 fish on this spot. About an hour or 2 later things started to get quiet, and Captain decided to make a move. We had a nice pick on them again but no cigar as some people still did not have limits or a fish yet. What happened next is something I will remember for a life time, when the tide did its thing in late afternoon all hell broke loose and we had bendos going full speed. These fish bit all the setups and were of better grade. Watching grown ups and kids land there first seabass is pretty cool but watching them land 2 or 3 in a row is something special. By the end of the day me and dad had at least 18 fish and some hook and hand offs (WE ONLY KEPT OUR LIMITS).

There is no other description which can be used to rate the crew other than outstanding and if it were not for them, we would not have landed half of these fish. If you are thinking to book a trip with them, I would highly recommend this operation.

Thanks again Capt Mike, Bryan, Brad, Jake and the quiet one who works the night shift.
