Dubbed Term - Catfish on Da Prowl.

This is your chance to get into some flatheads. You do not need a boat. Just need youself, a few supplies, maybe a tent, a grill, ice chest and drinks, and your good fun and personality. This has been an awesome year for wccm. The best yet. Lets bring the last event of the year to an end in style and fun.

Open waters for good catfishing are the
.All American Canal
.Highline
.Alamo
.Coachella

and various other waters.

.Mainline bait and tackle in El Centro will have the giant goldfish just like the last event. Plus you get a 10% discount on any product purchased in the store if you mention West Coast Cat Masters.

.Bait is abundant in local lakes such as gills.

Spots are open all up and down the river and canals that are highly accessible even driving your car or RV up to such spots depending on where you want to fish.

See you all there. Last event in May produced flatheads up to 40 pounds and numerous 20-30 pound quality flat flats and stringers of channels. See ya there.

Here is a vid of last event in May.

and various other waters.

You guys ever go try West Main Canal ? It runs right near Westmoreland.

It is W of the New River near Forrester. I have no idea how they got the canal over the New River since it is fed by the All American that comes from CA/AZ border, some how it comes from east then ends up on the west side of the New River valley ???

 Just spent 10 minutes zooming in on the canal. The have a bridge with 2 giant pipes that carries the All American over the New River.

Pretty cool, zoom in and check it out.

http://mapsof.net/imperial_county

Remember it is dangerous and illegal to swim in the canals. :Rolls Eyes:
When I lived there always in the paper is stories of people dieing in the usually getting sucked into the gates.

Good luck in the contest. DR

Here is some more 'various waters' canals

On deck to join as a sponsor in the event is Zendejas hardware. Zendejas will offer some prizes in our Imperial Valley event. Plus they will also be adding larger goldfish to the arsenal as well. This event will be sponsored by 2 major sponsors in Mainline bait and tackle and Zendejas hardware.

Add your name to the event by copying and pasting your name as I will check out the thread every now and then so feel free to update it yourself by adding your name.

Again we will meet at Westmorland Park - same location as last May event on August 7th 8am. Flyers and other interest has already been generated locally so join the crowd. This is the last event of the season for wccm and will also be the event to crown the winner in the points award. For updated stats see web page. Talk to you soon and see ya there.

Thanks to the people for making Canal Expedition 3 an awesome event. Lots of giveaways and great people. Thanks to Zendejas and Mainline bait and tackle for providing us with great prizes for the raffle. All went well. The channels put on a clinic this weekend some nice size ones. Also there was a few good flats topped by a 21 pounder. Due to me having to get ready for a flight in a few hrs to the east coast for a few weeks I can not give a thorough report in time - so Todd will give the run down and the details. I should be able to chime in from Jersey in a few days or so and my own pics and vid to come by next week from the the ATL. Thanks everyone for a great weekend and keeping it positive. Talk to everyone soon.
