any bonito at kings harbor?

used to fish there back in the 80's off the commercial boat dock.i know the boiler is no longer generating warm water but are there some still being caught? thanks
p.s. if not...where is a good location for bonito?

i went out there sunday and there nothing out there.only guys fishing for small opaleye

from what I have seen and heard, there is nomore bonito boils like there used to back in the day. Sad too cause that was fun catching them in that little area.

I had heard of some being caught. Call RB Sportfishing. Those guys that work at the ticket shop fish the pier all the time and hear the local news.

Seems like over 90% of the guys fishing the jetties are fishing bait on the bottom and bobber guys.

I watched bonito in LB from the docks above and usually they will swim Big Laps around channels and bays and only come by every 5 or 10 minutes. So you have to try casting 10 minutes per jig to see if there is any takers coming by.

Last week after work was tossing a Blue/Chrome Krocodile, then a black 3" Megabait, 3 leadhead/plastics and a Kastmaster at the point by Joes Crab Shack for only one huge greenback mac. I googled King Harbor Bonito and saw this. Alot stuff there, old too.

i was supposed to go out buggin with the homie fishbones,but the weather turned.and really didnt want to chance it and get all soakin wet.so i decided to hit up king harbor just had to get the line wet,started of throwing the ds.with no luck moved around and went to ruff side of the breakwall and still no luck,so iwent back by joes crabshack and put on an lc right when the sun went down and macs came alive.so iwas still workin the lc ,and the bonita wanted to play caught a couple of those and finally ended the day with a nice barracuda..also the pelicans in the harbor go all out.i was bringin in one of my bonitas and they just started diving for it and ended up hookin a pelican,bonita came off and had to grab him by his beak and get my lc back.but all in all had a good time beat the skunk,i took some pics but not worth postin i think we all seen bonita and barracudas. thanks for readin fisherman from the L.B
