now thats coolness, amazing it made it to that size, in nature the brighter offballs generally get picked off easier, definately would be cool to catch a few like that,, someone break out some selective breeding of koibass...

Definitely an awesome catch. I usually CPR, but I would have been tempted to keep and mount that oddity

This is an example of Xanthochromism, as well as Melanism.

Xanthochromism is excessive yellowing, while Melanism is the dark blotches.

Normally its a genetic mutation, a passed-down trait, but in other cases, it could be due to a mutagenic substance.
