I got to the beach around 8:30 drop off my wife so she can get a spot for us. I went to the rock to get some Mussels to use for bait. Got back and park and found my wife on a Picnic Table so i walked of to her. I set up my pole so i can toss out Mussels. I tossed out my line and kept on getting Kelp.

I did not know what i had but i had a good idea what it was but i could not see it. I get it in close and i saw what i had. I was a nice Spotfin.

I put more Mussel on my hook and tossed it out in the same area. I wait a little while then i got hit hard. I know it fish was bigger then the first on because it was running hard and making more runs. After about 10min battle i got it in and i it was another Spotfin but bigger then the first one.

After on hooking the fish i tossed out more Mussel out and got hit right away but i knew it was not other Spotfin. I got it in and notice it was a small BSP. I tossed it back a put more Mussel on my hook and got hit right away. I notice a father with his threes son i told them to come over and reel it in. So only one of the kids came over and reeled it in. He was about 4 years old and it was his first time fishing. It was a small YFC about hand size. He tossed it back. Sorry on pic of the kid and his fish. I tossed out more Mussel and got hit hard again it was an other Spotfin. I told my wife i want to leave about 1pm. So i had about hour more to fish. So i tossed out some more Mussel and i got hit hard again i knew it was other Spotfin i told the kid again to reel it in he came running over with his dad and start reeling it in. I then noticed that the live was wrap around some kelp so i went out to unwrap it. The father and son kept on reeling it in but it went loose they reeled it in and i noticed the hook was missing and the son was upset that he lost it. I put on one more hook and tossed out some more Mussel and i got a small BSP it swalled the hook so i cut it and called it a day. I want to get home to see how big the Spotfin were. They were 18", 20" and 22 1/2" long. And the biggest one weight 4.7lbs. He is some more of the Spotfin when i got home.
