Skinner is lookin' good 6/19

At Skinner today and bigass bluegill are up in the shallows chasing almost anything. I was at the soutwest area most of the day so don't know about other areas. Lots of LMB are hiding in the weeds ambushing prey. I caught a bunch of dinks and some mallish ones too. Had a PIG up to the boat and he broke my 6lb test dropshot line. From now on I'm using stronger stuff. I noticed fewer fish in the tulies but they were holding to the whispier weeds just off shore. They just stocked cats so those are on too. Have fun out there.

thanks for the report Skinner has produced for me in the past but, since DVL opened back up I ve neglected that nice lake.

Yah, once DVL opened I too went there. I have started back to Skinner and each time I go I say to myself how light the traffic is. We'll see how it is during the summer with the touristas and campers renting boats. It is a smaller lake and some of the west end areas can get a little crowded. :(
