Arrived at Castaic at 7am and headed towards dam. No luck. Then I headed out to lagoon and picked up 2 nice largemouth bass using a neon yellow trout worm!!:EyePop: Then ate lunch and bought some anchovies. Headed to the dam... Luck I landed a nice striper towards the middle of the dam using nothing but a hook and anchovies...:LOL:
Any suggestions for stripe bass on the dam?

I think your on the right track fishing with no weight off the dam...
every time I use any weight I get hung up on the bottom...
flyline is the way to go if your gonna use bait...
fresh bait makes a big difference but live bait will outfish them all... LIVE SHAD
you can also try some topwater plugs, the stripers should be chasing shad just about now.

catch them by the boat ramp in the morning. probably in a few weeks.

Im heading out to castaic on fathers day to fish the dam again with anchovies. Is there any recomendation on how to fish the anchovies.
I currently fish them weightless with just a hook.
