I was out at the feather river earlier today and saw a bunch of fish but couldn't get anything to bite. Any suggestions for bass, stergeon, catfish, etc baits, lures, colors, area's. Also any other places to fish near here. I am up visiting through next thursday.

So far no luck. Fished the river in 6 places and a few hits but nothing. Also we went to a place called 5 points and my friends son caught 7 baby fish two types of cats and a carp.

Did you try the Thermalito Afterbay? There should be some king salmon there already.

Yes. My friend called a guide he knew and he said nothing was happening on the river right now. We ended up going up to the mountains.
