With my school finals on Monday(today) I decided to clear my head before the big study... http://www.reelfishingfinatics.net/forum2/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Jumped on the Victory out of pierpoint for some cuda action. We got to the fishing grounds towards the point and there were about 50 boats there already. Fishing started off extremely slow. The private boaters kept running over the fish and the seals kept the cuda's on the move. Capt made a move away from the parking lot and it payed off. Got into a good bite for about 50-70 fish before all the private boats and the seals made their way back into the chum line. We repeated this routine all day and ended up with a good amount of fish. Im not sure which one was more of a nuisance though. The private boaters or the seals. http://www.reelfishingfinatics.net/forum2/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif ALSO MET SPITBREAKER... HOW did you do the next day?

The boat ended up with 5 Calico Bass 14 Sand Bass 139 Barracuda 2 Rockfish for 28 guys. I ended up with 7 fish and alot of busted off fish. They wanted the sardine mostly and I spent the majority of the day throwing the iron for 4 fish and three on bait. Saw some decent bass off the bottom on sardines also. Captain was a beast. He kept on the move and told quite a few pbers runnin over the chum line what he thought about them... http://www.reelfishingfinatics.net/forum2/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

The deckies spotted a few yellows rolling on the chum also but were still shy. Im thinking some flouro might get them to bite...

I ended up with a pig of a cuda on the mint tady 45. Close to ten pounds and good enough for jackpot. I gave the pot to the crew and they hooked me up with a free pass and free fish cleaning... Good boat and cool crew. I will be on there again...

Nice cuda. Jackpot as well what could be better. A Comp pass and free fish cleaning that's great. That's never happen to me and I never heard of it happening, and I always pay it forward to the crew buts that's OK.. maybe it will catch on with other boats.

You should have went the next day too !! Double the number of cuda caught !! Oh ..... minor thing that there were 75 anglers aboard. :)
