Catching LMB at DVL

Went fishing at DVL this morning (06-12-10) and caught (10) LMB and (2) SMB. The fishing is pretty good early on the top water bite. As soon as the sun comes up the top water bite slows down. I caught all these bass on top water and dropshot. The fish are in the range of 0 -30 ft. All of the bass were released.

The majority of my fish were in the 2-4 lb range. A few photos for your enjoyment. Until next time, Tight Lines........

What are you using for topwater baits, spinner, zara spooks, swimbaits. Just curious I have been doing well on drop shot latley, but not sure what to use early am. Thanks for any advice.

Man......Darknight.....did u look inside my tackle box when I had my head turned........all the baits you mentioned will do the trick. With the water levels rising, there is alot of flooded brush......pick the bait of your choice and go get em'............

Pigdestroyer.....believe me the topwater bite is there, you just got to get out there early in the AM an throw the topwater bait of your choice.....

Yeah, I have been hearing a lot about it. I just don't to fish a boat very often since I sold mine a couple of months ago. Last week I was fortunate enough to get out there twice. Once on a guide trip and once tagging along with friends.
