It was like frickin' water-world out there on Saturday! So many various forms of water craft, mind blowing:Shocked:.

We hit Alamitos Bay, by 700am, and had bites by 705. But it took a bit until we dialed in the "tech" and started landing fish. Missed a few for sure, and never REALLY caught anything too great. We need an anchor for the canoe, and had lots of other boats-paddlers etc to contend with. No worries though, we had a blast...AND CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK OUT!

Anybody else fished Alamitos lately?

thanks for reading

Thanks For The report and way to put your friend on the fish!

All of the bays/harbors will be busy with the college rowers on any given day!

Good luck on the return!

I never really mind when boaters approach. You know, lots of people will have slow days and blame it on boaters scaring the fish.

In reality, they actually have fish riding the wake behind em! I remember last year, while fishing the newport channel, a boater sped by, all the other fishermen were pissed, but I was the only one wearing polarized glasses-- I was able to see tons of sargo, croaker, and juvenile WSB riding the bow wave.

I would be happy with a YFC that big.
