Crawdads in Big Bear Lake ??????

OK I'm not talking bout bait crawdads but them huge lil boogers that live in Big Bear Lake.I just got my license, finally wooooooo, anyway I am hittin the damn tonight & dropping my crawdad trap while we fish for some trout.Wish me luck on my first slaying attempt in years,it's all been bout the kids past couple years.

OK I found a few craws fishing with the kids last night & need to make a couple more traps at this rate.The boy broke his dry spell by hooking up with a lil bullhead & now has the itch,lol.Gonna drop off the trap for a overnight soak & hopping for a nice lil family boil.

They where so sweeeet wish i had more,lol.I am going to toss out tonight at Stanfield with crappie left overs as bait.I hope it works better than bacon has been.

try using dry cat food for bait i had a pet crayfish when i was younger that i caught out of a little ditch on they way home from school and the thing would go nuts for dry cat food o and bologna the cheaper the bologna the more he seemed to love it.

The smaller models make EXCELLENT bait for large trout and bass. Just sayin'.......
