Finally got a chance to go out saturday afternoon. Headed out to fish along the rocks at MDR with a friend. Got there just past 12 and pitched plastics for about an hour with no luck. My friend finally broke the skunk with a decent bass (largest we've caught on land).

I switched from plastics to my lc and just missed what looked to be a legal sized cuda on my first cast. I quickly recast in the same direction and got this little guy.

A couple of casts later i picked up a lightly larger cuda about 18 inches. No pic for the second cuda as he inhaled two of the treble hooks. I got the hooks out fairly quickly and spent about 3 minutes moving it back and forth in the water. It finally showed signs of life and then all of sudden burst from my hand and safely swam away. I then cast out and my friend was having problems with his reel so i turned to help him and about 10 seconds later I feel a hard yank on my line. I immediately knew it was bad. As i turned back I saw a boat was passing us by and then I heard a loud snap. Good bye lure. I never learned how to use that lure for anything other than cudas. We fished for another 30 minutes with no luck(y craft lure). We called it a day at about 3pm. Good day ended on a sour note.
All fish safely released. I look forward to contributing more as the summer progresses. Thanks for looking everyone.
