What's up with fishing and scenery at Tioga Pass?

I know I have to wait a little while for Tioga Pass to open up. But, I was thinking of taking my social director up for a ride and maybe wet a line. Supposed to be a beautiful drive. And I know there's some fishing lakes up there to check out also. But that's all I know.

Any help and advice would be much appreciated. I can go early in the year or in Sept-Nov timeframe as well.

Saddlebag is good fishing. Either at the dam or take the ferry to the other side of the lake. Ellery and Tanaya...not so much. At least from my experiences.

That pass was opened up as of last sat. Never been there but I was visiting yosimite that day.
