Bob has been up at Lake San Antonio for guide trips just about every single day this week. We decided to fish it one last time today before our busy work schedule next week and I’ll be heading for the Team 57 High Sierras event at Parcher’s the following week.

The bite has slowed down somewhat and we wanted to spend a relaxing day scoping out some new areas on the lake for future trips.

Fished from 6:00am until around 2:00pm and headed home. Metered a lot of bait balls with fish all over it but the Stripers weren’t very active today. Maybe because of the spike in water temp…? Hit 79 degrees today. Saw a few sporadic boils and even though the fishing was far from spectacular, we did manage to nail two beautiful DD Linesides for our efforts. :Big Grin:

I’m really looking forward to fishing this lake again… especially when the boil starts.

Thanks again Bob, for the invitation, it was fun trying some new things today and running some really off the wall stuff. It would have been hilarious if we would have caught a Striper on that “Special” rig that you were running today. LOL At least my new swim bait pattern got a fish!
Get a hold of TroutOnly and book your Summer trips now, the fishing can only get better!

Here are some pics… enjoy.

Phuong (Blackwater), I had my Superman combo all ready to go today. You’re lucky that there were no significant boils out there. Just a matter of time buddy, you’re going down… again!

The quantity isn't great, but the quality is superb. Those are some thick looking stripers. Nice job once again Bob and Arthur. One of these days i can make my way up that way to fish.

Dang Arthur, all these TO striper trips that end in slayage make me want to book my own sometime soon. I'll talk to dad and maybe get us on one of these once Castaic or Pyramie heats up. Congrats to both of you on an epic day.

Arthur and Bob, it's a given that the two of you never fail to deliver. Many of us would take a "slow" two double digit day anyday. :Envious:

Now, for the bet with Wingnut. Let me clarify what we agreed on Art.

Superman combo with no modifications.
6lb test only.
Double digit Striper
Topwater only
Deadline 12/31/2010

I would like to add the following amendments to the rules:
TroutOnly CANNOT be present and the Striper MUST come out of Lake Balboa only.
OK, now the contest is fair.

Phoung!

You can't change the rules of engagement after the heat has been turned up without both sides attorneys present!

Not to worry this time as I have no involvement in this wager but you can still bribe me to get Arthur back focused on catching the Flatties in the Surf and not spend time attempting to "Draining your Bank Account!

Not so sure of the out come but it sure seems Arthur in focus and we all know how Poseidon is on his side!

Wait a minute!

Congrats to TO for a fabulous couple of weeks putting folks on some quality Stripers!

Arthur,

"The power is within!"

Nice catches!

WN,
Looks like the Stripers at SA have the heads up on the T/O Striper killing machine, sounds like they are going into hiding from you guys, lol. Congrats on the "SLOW" DD day, those stripers are awesome at SA.

Man, I guess Im just not used to the new forum layout........... as I missed commenting
on this thread too! :Head Bang:

You guys are so successful at this lake, I almost can't tell the difference between the reports......... I click on a thread, see Arthur & Bob with limits of BIG stripers and I think: "Oh, I already commented on this thread"......... then I take a closer look and discover that this is ANOTHER trip with MORE big fish!

Well done my friends.

Ill see you in a couple days at the TEAM 57 Parcher's event!
