Hahahahahahahaha, that 2 striper limit joke was a good one!!!

who ever started that one gets funny points in my book, lol

but a quick call to the marina and a visual sign that said limit 10

cleared everything up quick......

To clear things up for all this is whats in the DFG handbook

5.75. Striped Bass.

* (a) Open season: All year except for closures listed in special regulations.
* (b) Limit: Two, except in waters listed in (d) below.
* (c) Minimum size: 18 inches total length except in waters listed in (d) below.
* (d) Exceptions:
o (1) In the Colorado River District, the Southern District (except Lake Elsinore, and New Hogan, San Antonio and Santa Margarita lakes
+ (A) Limit: Ten.
+ (B) Minimum size: No size limit.
o (2) Lake Elsinore has the limit and minimum size shown in (b) and (c) above.
* (e) For the purpose of these regulations, any striped bass hybrid with white bass is considered to be striped bass.

and this says that there is a two fish limit at san antonio as written in the DFG handbook,
but in the marina store there is a posted DFG sign that is revised stating with
the exception of san antonio and says the striper limit is 10 with no size limit either.

So for the record, the limit at san antonio for stripers is 10 of any size
untill revised again by the DFG..

It wasn't funny when we drove 130 miles and 2.5 hrs and were on the water. Looking back on it it is

We did trust our sourcet, but it made for an uncomfortable hour.

Bob,,,, I broke the striper "CODE"... That I am guilty of. But I am in the monthly carp derby at Bobs Bait Bucket here in town and there are some BIG Carp in that lake..

I think I had the 100 won. If I had only caught up with all the slack in my line and set the hook on the fish, not the slack line..

That carp "SLAMMED" it... Biggest "slurp" bite I've had. Started off with wheat bread and was slow, once I switched to the white bread it was OFF the HOOK stupid on carp!

I will say this, your a character and can't wait to fish with you again.

T/O

Those are some nice strips... I was there from Friday to Saturday and got skunked. You must know the secret to catching those stipers. I talked to you at the Harris Cove Boat ramp and you told me the bite had slowed down. Hopefully it'll pick up agian soon, maybe next time I go up there agian i'll have to hire you as my guide to finding those stripers. Simply Awesome!!!

Here's a link to Bob's website.

He's a great guy to spend the day with too, especially if you listen to his fishing tales. There's a lot of good information in them.

You should go with T/O and learn how, before you try renting a boat. After you get the basics down, renting a boat will be much more productive.

I tottally agree with the above..

One thing to note is to PAY CLOSE ATTENTION ~!

What to do
How to do it
Where to do it

AND

Why

For the wise anglers who hire a guide, the eyes and ears should be turned on at ALL TIMES..

The trip should be looked at as not only an oportunity to catch fish but more importantly that of a trip that is spent LEARNING HOW TO AND WHAT TO DO..

I believe many go out and have a wonderful day of slay but but fail to be focused on walking away with the methods locked in their head so they can go out to do the same on their own….

Ask questions ~!

Bob is a wealth of knowledge

Cash in on that…

Get on a slay but cram your knoggin with they why’s and hows in the process..

Just my 2 cents : )
