Took my buddy out today. got on the lake around 6:30. day started out looking a lot like tuesday. but that was not to be. literally had to scratch away allllll day to get around 9 fish with nothing over 1.5. the water level came up about a foot. im not sure if that does anything. but i will say it was dead calm until 12:30 and i mean dead calm. like glass and hot. im sure this lack of wind and lack of that little cloud cover we got on tuesday made it that much tougher. Got 2 on a jig, one on a jerkbait, one on a senko and the rest on drop shot. that water is brutally clear. i enjoy looking down and getting a window in on the lives of fishes but i rather catch em than watch their tails go deep.

you know what the same thing happened to me last Sunday or saturday, it was dead calm hot and no clouds in the sky and we had three experienced bass fisherman using 4lb test and just about every soft plastic known to man kind and didnt have a single fish over a pound. and the water level was up. they either got the post spawn blues or their about to spawn again

Thanks for the report Indy, blue bird skies and no wind can make that lake pretty tough at times. That is good news about the water level though, glad to hear it is going up rather than down. i'm going to be heading out sunday and next Thursday so hopefully I'll have something good to report back.

Fishing sunday was really slow for me as well. We made it to the lake around 730 and hit a couple points with top waters. We picked up two fish both on a small spook, no hits on the others, seemed to me the fish were keying in on smaller baits all day. Once we finished with the top waters we started throwing small senkos along the weed lines and in deeper water along points picked up a few fish but not like I had hoped for. Tried everything from carolina rigging, ten inch worms, dropshot and jerkbaits we couldn't really find a pattern, it was tough out there. We ended up with 8 fish between 3 of us. I'm heading back out thursday so hopefully I can find them.
