wanting to get my first shark... help???

k i read up on gear and such, wire leaders and all, i feel im good on that but any suggestions and such would be welcomed,,, i live in bakersfield and dont wanna drive extremely far so any suggestions on where i could hook up on a shark or two??? morro bay area would be nice but let me know whats up yeah? thanks everyone
