View Full Version : Night Time Big Bass at the Goon

Well, I've been doing well recently on my tube and boat, so I decided to hit the Lagoon from shore at last night because I really wanted to fish, like always, haha. I arrived with Robo Bass and we started off at one of our old shore spots. I caught a dink pretty fast and then we moved down. As the sun started to set, we saw lots of small boils, probably from bluegill. We moved again and I made my first cast at the next spot. I worked my Roboworm halfway back to shore when I felt something. I set the hook and the fight begun. She has taking off and going crazy then got to the surface and jumped. She looked like a 3 lber, but I couldn't really tell because it was dark and I knew she was bigger than that by the way she was fighting! So after a couple minutes, I brought her close enough to shore to lip. She weighted in at 5 lb 0 oz, which is my biggest from shore. Not huge, but definitely nice! I'm still waiting for that DD, haha.

Freaking awesome, nice catch man! I want to try night fishing at the goon so bad but every time i go with my friend fishing he is never down to stay long enough for some night fishing jeeez. Im gonna have to go myself i guess.

Fishing by yourself is fun, just not as fun when you fish with someone else. You should just go at night and not the day too, that way your friend doesn't want to leave, haha. That is what I do when I go night fishing.

Ya, they are always fun! Especially the night tubing events. You should definitely go to one.

anyway...I got 10 bucks that goes to either of you who catches the biggest LMB when you fish together...

No strings...I'm simply putting 10 bucks up for the biggest bass between you 2 !

Nice job dude, looks like a clone to those I got from my goon post a couple weeks ago. I was thinking the same thing in the dark, so hard to judge size from jumps in the dark, although the bigger splash and better fight do give good clues.
