Were they recently transplanted?? If so, maybe it's from shock from the stocking. Just an idea.

Maybe they ate those new ribs from Burger King.
I know I felt like dying after eating 'em for lunch today.

thats what i though so
some guy at the lake was trying to blame it on a guy who was doing catch and release
i try to tell him that it was prob from the stocking but he just keep going on trying to blame that other guy

Yes, they are stocking kittys. I believe it was a first stocking this year.

you have to ask for the small ribs D.S, the big ones are nasty...

I was talking to the guy who cleans out the private lakes in the area and he was saying that 3 years ago he pulled out 3 feet of dead cats because of some sort of algae growth.. maybe that could be it but really idk :-(

FYI...........
According to their website, they have cancelled all remaining fishing derby's for the year........

You can follow their stockings here:

The C&R could be responsible too.......if the guy was hooking them deep and throwing back some serious bleeders. But then he'd of had to catch all those fish you saw floating lol.
All Fishing Derbies have been canceled due to the City's budget.
At least it isnt a water quality issue.....yet
