So I am taking some much needed leave and of course I am gonna do some fishing....no shaving...no emails just me and my float tube. It was a nice day out at the Vine. I got there at 0515 (5:15am) and I was the 3rd in line. The weather a little over cast and there was no wind (thank god). I started off fishing between the old road and the new bridge. I went to Ranch 99 for my bait and some Sake (For Later). I soaked the Shrimp in Bite on Garlic over night and put them in my small cooler in the back of my float tube. I fished the trees for a couple of fish. The bite died down for a while so I switched over to some mini jigs (White/Chart 1/32 with a meal worm) I landed a lot of nice Red Ear Sunfish most were the size of my hand.

I was fishing the road and saw Mitz pull up, he landed 2 nice kitties and called it a day, he popped in and out through out the day it was good seeing him.

Well noon was upon me and I went on the hunt 2 cats and some panfish was not going to cut it. I found me a nice shallow spot and it was on, fish 3, 4, 5.....damn I had to flag down a second limit pass and I continued to slay 1240 and I got fish 6, 7, 8 ten min till 1 and I got 9, and 10 (Double Limit). It was a great day, it felt like I had the lake to myself. I was using 12lbs Izorline (Main) and 10lbs Izorline (Leader) I was using 2/0 Gamakatsu Circle Hooks (The Best) with a 3/8 and 1/2 oz Flat Sinker. I managed to snap a few pics. I just cleaned the hard to kill "Vine Strays". Im going to go Hooters for a slay of another kind (All You Can Eat Wings). Overall weight 18.6 lbs.

Nice going man! Hey got a question... is it hard to soak your bait in a tube without moving all around? Do you just gotta stay real still and keep your line slack? Or were you drifting the bait?

After a while using it you get good enough to hold it in place. I adjust my rod holders to the right angle and all you have to do is watch the wind and current...it seems like a lot but after a while you dont even notice your doing it.

WTG Diego, after this season at the Vine you should just change your name to "DoubleLimit"!

See you out there soon!

Nice job. You hook into a big cat in that tube and you may get a free tour around the lake.
