This is scary because I take my daughters to the Nature Center often for classes and she has gone with her kindergarten class. It's a shame we'll probably have to wait 25 years ( and $$$) for him to get his lethal injection.

Another creepy thing to think about is that the area that is designated for boy/girl scout campgrounds isnt far away from where he dumped the body parts. Not to mention the fact that i was fishing the 1st horseshoe lake that morning before they found the body parts :s.

LOL! thats just baddddddddddd!!!! (besides, wouldnt the fingers be a lil too stiff :P)

Answer: No. You cant drive into the park before 7. That being said, you can park on one of the side streets closest to the park and walk in. The gates leading to the bike paths r usually never closed

Interesting...I guess the Ninja Guys better be careful if they decide to Ninja at El Dorado. I'd hate to read about missing Ninja's or Ninja's being tied to a homicide. lol

What a nut case that guy is. He hides the main body in a attic and throws the head and hands in a family park. Sure glad some little kids didn't find it.

just to be clear.

No one was killed at the park, he just dumped some body parts in the nature center of el dorado park which is "NO fishing" area. The 4 lakes north of Cerritos/Spring were unaffected by the incident.

my mom was riding her bike through the park that day when five cops came running up to her full speed and demanded she leave right that second and escorted her out. i dont see how this guy though he could dump arms or a dead or whatever he threw in there without anyone seeing or finding it

Police ID body found in lake

A Long Beach man found dead in a lake last week has been identified.

The victim was identified as Michael Jenkins, 54, said Lt. Larry Dietz of the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The cause of death has been deferred until toxicology tests come back, which usually takes about six to eight weeks, Dietz said.

Jenkins had been reported missing to Long Beach Police on Nov. 28 at 2:20 p.m., said Long Beach Police Officer Jackie Bezart.

Two fishermen found the body in the north lake at Wilderness Park, 10999 Little Lake Road, on December 2, according to a Downey Police news report.

Downey Police Officer Joe Bustos described Wildnerness Park as a local fishing spot with two lakes.

The preliminary investigation revealed no evidence of foul play, and the water found in Jenkins' lungs indicates that the most likely cause of death was drowning, said Downey Police Sgt. Jeff Calhoun.

Police continue to investigate the death, but do not believe it is a homicide. Anyone with information should call Downey Police at 562-904-2308.
