I did not get to do my weekly Castaic lake fishing trip last week because of the barracuda. Now that I finally got that out of me, I can go back to the weekly Castaic Lake outing. Fishing tuned out to be pretty good. It was absolutely terrible in the morning. I thought for sure this was going to be the first day I wont catch my minimum 20 fish at Castaic Lake. I did a lot of traveling and picked off a few fish at each spot. I finally hit the motherload at one of my humps at the buoy line and that ended all my fear of a slow day at Castaic. I did not take that many pictures this time but I will entertain you with what I have. Lets go back in time:

Here is how the day looked. Awesome. Actually I was not going to go fish today because I stayed up all night watching Pickers and Overhaulin. Pops woke up early and ask if I was going to Castaic cause he wanted to come along. I cant deny the old man so I took a shower, loaded the boat and took my pops fishing.

This is my new weakness. A fresh Cherry Cheese Cream Danish. It is a salty sweet gooey cherries center with cream and cheese....soooo good.

First fish of the day. I decided to hit the buoy line and not do my usual morning spots.

I got some more of this. Today was suppose to be a Catch and Release day.

The bouyline was getting quite noisey, so I opted to find some solitude at the other end of the lake. The fighter jets seems like they were having alot of fun making Xs in the sky.

As I enjoy the air show, my pops put some of stripers onto the boat. He got a called from a family friend that he needs us to donate some fish to feed the less fortunate. We told him we will bring some fresh striped bass.

The school bus making it rounds.

The bite fizzed out so I went to another spot. Instant bendo for pops once we anchored. Picked up a few more fish for the fish donation.

Then took a trip back to the buoy line. Anchored up on a small hump and bendo for me.

The ones at this hump was bigger than the average for the day.

The brother of the fish above. This one was literally dead meat.

The bite was definitely on at this spot. My Flimsy kencor rod putting the hurt on a striper.

After this fish. Someone turned on the lights for us. It went wfo!

Every rod was bend on some nice fish. Here is the first double for the day.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/dattrinh/IMG_1328.jpg
More Doubles. It was so good we had to resort to just one rod instead of two.

We were on the verge of limiting out.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/dattrinh/IMG_1330.jpg
OK we topped it off with some larger units. Mission accomplished.

Parting shot. What a day.
Hope you enjoyed another week at Castaic with me. I been up for over 40 hours. I need some sleep. Thanks for reading my report, I will see you all next time.
