Bass/Catfish Near Lone Pine

I went to Lone Pine on Friday to visit my Girlfriends Dad, and i took my gear even tho it was super windy.
So i hit up one of the locals spots with my roommate josh to try our luck on Bass. I wasnt gettin anything but josh managed.

So the wind blew us out ( me anyway lol) so we went back to my Girlfriends dad's house, and just decided to give up. But he suggesteed that we go to one of his favorite super-secret-Catfish holes, so he drew me up a map,and ill tell u what, i needed it bad. So we drove to this hidden place, and it didnt look like much, but on my first cast i landed a nice one and it was on now.

Then josh ran around the corner from where he was fishing.

So then the sun started to go down, and i was on for catfish. This is #1 catfish for me of the year.

Congrats to ya, looks like you guys had a blast. Good to see that the bass up there are starting to turn on because that means other bass holes along the Owens should be good as well. I've got a friend that wants to head up tomorrow, Saturday, and I was really hoping that we wouldnt be stuck with only catching stocker trout.
