Goleta Beach 05/21/2010

Decided to get the dog some exercise and do some surf fishing. Headed to Goleta for 6pm high tide. Was gonna fish the west side near UCSB because conditions are usually nicer on that side but unfortunately the tide was too high.

Conditions: Really Rough, Windy, and lots of grass.:Crying:

I went to the east side but conditions were rough there as well. Got out to my waist in water and no luck.

Rod: 8'6" Med Act
Lure: Rattlin Rogue Stick bait
High Tide

NADA! Maybe next time. I don't know what the deal was....too windy for the birds to be flying so I couldn't see where the bait fish were grouping.

Cool, thanks for the report. Sorry bout the skunk and conditions. It's looking like this weekend isn't a good one for the surf :(

Wingnut has lots of insanely good surf reports from the Santa Barbara area. Just go back a while and you'll find 'em.
