Looking into purchasing a car-top rack or carrier for our Highlander.

Wondering if anyone has any advice.

Thanks

I'm also looking to buy one for the Team 57 Parcher's trip.
I looked at Yakima, they're nice but rather pricey.
I'm probably going to buy a X-Cargo or THULE carrier at Sears. I've read good reviews on the carriers and they're very reasonable.

Look on Craigslist.org for a deal. Those things are a dime a dozen collecting dust in garages from Wannabe Camper Yuppies.

Find the model you want and then give "Roger" a call at:

Hey Tony remember if you decide to order it through Sears you can save some cash by ordering it Online. Bing has 8% cash back on Sears purchases right now, they have an Order online pick up in store service too. Definately worth looking into http://www.bing.com/shopping/pages/stores.aspx?scope=cashback&FORM=CBFS07 just select Sears and it will take you the website (you'll need to create a bing account). It takes the bing cash a couple months or so to arrive, varies on the size of the return. If you need any help just send me a PM

also found these, worth it if they're still available:
