Had plans to meet up with Jeff (Itchybass) to trade my chronarch for his avet (sweet deal). We decided to meet at the harbor around 5pm so I decided to get there early around 2pm and do some fishing around the harbor.
Now i'm a total harbor noob here, don't have any clue whats going on. Found the first opening I saw in the harbor and started tossing a swimmie. 4th cast HOOK UPP!!
Got this guy

Now my bloods rushing thinking its going to be awesome. Didn't get any more hits after that for a while.
I see two fishermen start walking down. Berkley sweater, none other than HESBROS himself with his buddy John.
If there are two people you ever want to bump into at the harbor, its these two.
Definitely A+ class acts. They totally hooked me up with tons of info and set me up with the correct swimmie/leadhead and John even gave me a brand new jar of calico cocktail!
They even let my noobie ***** follow them around! Thanks again fellas for all the tips and tackle! This noobie will never forget it!!
5 PM rolls around and Jeff shows up. We're fishing talking, then we notice that we have no idea where John went, and HESBROS is a few docks up where we can't go since the water level was beyond where us normal shore fisherman would allow us to go. we went to one more beach area before some old man, like 80 years old, came out of his house cussing and swearing up a storm threatening to throw us in the water unless we left. He claimed we were there pretending to be fisherman so we can look for ways to break in and rob him.
Not wanting to make much more of it than what it was, we picked up our rods and said if it made him feel better if we left, then we will.
Totally didn't get to say good bye and thanks to John and Eddie.
Ended up back where I started the first time. Hooked into what felt like another hali but the fish spat the hook before I could see. Rain started coming so I had to bail.
Definitely fished with the right people today. Learned alot, got free tackle, lost a bunch of Jeff's stuff lol.
Thanks again guys for showing this noobie the ropes!
