Correction ... had my dates wrong ... it was 5/16

Well when I say panned out, I mean I got to utilize my light gear on some pan fish action. Last minute my buddy flaked but it didn't stop me from a solo mission. Got on the water @ opening time, it was soooooo foggy they made us put our nav/running lights on. I'd say the visibility was at the thickest points that I saw about 70-100 ft max. Headed out towards a spot that I wanted to throw the big baits in the morning, well, attempted. With no GPS on my finder, I seriously ended up circling the lake and didn't get to a spot until a good 30 minutes. I found shore a few times, but had no idea where I was. LOL When I got there I saw a bunch of fins and mini boils. I thought they were trout. Throwing some topwater for some largies I got one to bite within 5-6 casts. He did some jumps for me, and came off on the third jump. No biggie I love air shows. Threw out some more, as I looked away got another boil on it, this one seemed dinky. Get it closer to the boat, what do you know a bluegill ... lol well now I know what all those fins were about. Got 2 on the popper when I decided to bust out the light gear and nail some. It was wide open for about 30-40 minutes. I was getting bit every cast, but I only boated a little over 10. After that moved spots and hit the bass. Once the sun got out it was really nice for about an hour, then the wind started picking up. Landed 5 lmb for the day, but I had to work for them. Only one of any real size I would have to say went ~4, didn't have my scale on me, but used my rod for reference. Taking into account the open mouth and slight offset from end of rod measurement was prob 18-19, all in all it was a good day off the water @ 3:30 .... ok ok pr0n awaits .....

gilly wants a popper .... hook came off, just threw in the shot, they were slapping it and hooking themselves

Nicely done TT... Hows my bud D Mike?

He's good, just got back from the striper tourney in Havasu. It was a low numbers year. Their best lineside was 4lbs, and didn't have limit bags either day. But he took the entire week off work to pre-fish, and for that I am jealous. He should be popping up @ Castiac soon though he got his own boat so no more rentals.
