Thinking about hitting up DVL this weekend for some BASS action........any word on the bite from shore???

Well went out there on sunday for my 2nd time at DVL, hoping to catch some trout. I read that they had stocked on wed and thought maybe my 3rd time fishing with mini-jigs I would finally get lucky. Started fishing at about 7am after walking down the road to the east dam. First cast bam fish on, feels pretty good even jumps out of the water twice. Small LMB haha, 3 or 4 casts later another fish on not much of a fighter, really small bluegill. Never caught any trout, caught two more blugill later in the day. As I worked my way along the shore line back towards the marina, I ran into a guy who told me that if I wanted to catch trout I should have been fishing on the other side of the marina out past the docks and bouys. I guess now that they extended the ramp the stocking truck just dumps them right there at the marina DOH.
