Got to love the 1/2 price today... Got fishing a little after 0700 already a little wind on the lake. Trolled one lap around the lake for not a bite. Started looking for a place to get out of the wind. Trolled over to the back side of trout island and pushed up on the beach by the cement launch ramp back there. Had the whole place to ourselves. Threw out a night-crawler and got bit while I was putting the rod in the holder and blew it.. Got another rod out with powerbait on it and got bit within a few minutes. My son got his and did a fine job of it.

Was good fishing from then on, got a limits for both of us..

Went to try and catch a bass after that with no luck. Long day for both of us with the wind..but good times had by all. Got to love this lake....
